Constructed in 1928, THE WOMAN'S CLUB BUILDING is now celebrating
80 years of serving DENTON WOMEN'S CLUBS, in existence since 1891.
Also dedicated to serving our community, our building is available for your use!
The Woman's Club Building
The Denton Woman's Club Building is owned and operated by the Denton City Federation of Women's Clubs, which consists of Ariel Club, founded in 1891 as the "Ariel Literary Society", and Shakespeare Club. One of the members of the City Federation, Ariel Club, is a charter member of the TFWC. Denton City Federation is part of the Pioneer District of the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs. The TWFC is a part of the national organization, the GFWC.
Built in club year 1928, with funds raised solely by the women of the clubs, the building is the meeting place for the member clubs, as well as for many local events, including weddings, receptions, anniversary parties, recitals, family reunions, bridal showers, private parties, business meetings, sorority functions, and more.
